COVID-19 Policy Updates
What will my appointment look like?
Please check your emails within 8 hours of your appointment. You will receive a Mandatory Covid-19 Screening survey. This must be completed prior to your appointment. Arrive no more than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. This is to minimize traffic through our lobby allowing for safe physical distancing. We will continue to accept all payment types including e-transfer. A facial mask, either fabric or medical, is now required for all face-up portions of treatment for the safety of all patients and practitioners it is highly recommended that you wear your mask while entering and exiting the clinic. Upon entry to the clinic please immediately wash your hands or use the sanitizer provided. We also ask that you repeat this process prior to exiting the treatment room.

What are we doing to keep you safe?
Below is a layout of some behind the scenes procedure that we will be maintaining for your safety as well as ours.
- Therapists will be using the BC Covid-19 self assessment tool on a daily basis https://bc.thrive.health/covid19/en and not work if any signs of sickness are present
- Hand sanitizer Health Canada NPN 80097749 will be available in all clinical spaces
- All contact surfaces including but not limited to light switches, chairs, knobs, handles, pump tops, POS, toilet flusher, hooks in treatment rooms, desk/counter surfaces will be wiped with Preempt Cleaner Health Canada DIN 02436698. In an attempt to remain environmentally friendly a fresh cloth will be used with each clean before washed in HOT water.
- Continue to use single use hand towels in the bathroom prior to being washed in HOT water.
- Masks will be worn by therapists for the duration of all treatments
- Removing the water and candy stations to eliminate contact surfaces. These will both be available upon request by the patient.
- Eliminating some lobby chairs in efforts to promote physical distancing and to make clear where the approved patient locations are
- Send receipts via email
- Stagger appointments of therapists as to only have one person in the lobby at a time
- Providing contactless online self assessment as well as updated consent forms for every appointment
- Provide contactless waste bins
- All linens including blankets will be single use. The use of heating pads will not be in effect during this time. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
- In the Event That a Patient Tests Positive For Covid-19 within The 14 days prior to onset of symptoms, the patient will contact the therapist and inform them of positive test results and possible transmission of the virus immediately. Asymptomatic transmission of Covid-19 is an unavoidable risk of practice until herd immunity is acquired or there is an effective treatment or vaccine against Covid-19.
- In the Event That a Patient Alleges they Caught Covid-19 from their massage therapist, the therapist will immediately call public health at 8-1-1 to report the potential transmission, providing both their name and the name and contact details of the patient. All appointments will be cancelled and the therapist will cease to provide services until Public Health has investigated and provided further direction. The therapist will immediately self-isolate until Public Health has given further instruction. The other practitioners and staff members will be informed immediately of transmission risk.
